A geriatric collection happens at the patient’s own address — a private home, an assisted-living apartment, a room in a care facility — rather than at a draw site. The collection is routine; the arrangement around it is not.

Providers who list this are used to coordinating with somebody other than the patient: an adult child, a facility nurse, a case manager, a caregiver whose shift ends at a fixed hour. They work inside a building’s visiting hours, find a room that is not a clinic, and confirm in advance who they are allowed to speak to about the appointment.
